Young-sung Lee has been working for Seoul National University since 2006 and is  currently Professor in the Dept. of Environmental Planning, Graduate School of Environmental Studies. He got his Ph.D. at Cornell University in 2001. His specialty is smart city, infrastructure planning, and urban and regional economics. He was senior editor of the International Journal of Urban Science from 2016 to 2018 and is now serving for several committee including Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development and Presidential Commission on Aging Society and Population Policy
